Survivor M J + February 28th, 2010 + no replies
I’m pissed! I can’t seem to find any info on the missing seasons of Survivor on DVD. From what I can tell two of theones I have NOT SEEN – #3 and #4 are not on DVD yet. Africa (2001) ยท Marquesas (2002)
ThaT SUCKS! I am not sure why they di dnot releas ethem yet – it’s 2010 and surely people would buy them. I did not start watching Survivor on CBS until the season of Survivor Thailand. So I would love to catch up a and see the ones I have missed!
The same thing is happening with CBS Big Brother. They too do not have all the shows on DVD yet.
All the RECENT ones go to dvd almost instantly – so why not cash in on the back catalog too???
AmI the only sourpuss out there???

It’s Fall and just a few months since Big Brother 8 wrapped up and dropped the big prize on Evil Dick and the runner up Danielle, and it still feels like something is missing.
We really need a winter version of Big Brother. One run per year simply is not enough.
Since the producers and CBS are not willing to satisfy that need, much less even give us past seasons on DVD’s (what’s up with that by the way???) we need to take matters into our own hands.

Showtime’s Showtoo Channel is Watching Big Brother 8 After Dark
If you’re a CBS TV’s Big Brother 8 fan and already get Showtime and it’s sister premium channels such as Showtime Too (two?) you can be enjoying a behind the scenes look at the BB8 house guests and their scheming.
UNCENSORED and un-edited Big Brother Footage!
As I reported in TV Robot’s CBS TV Big Brother 8 section, the all new Big Brother After Dark runs three hours per night LIVE on Showtime Two. You’ll see the Big Brother 8 house as you’ve never seen it before as Showtime gives us 3 hours live per night 7 days a week to spy on what is really happening in the Big Brother 8 house.
3 hours per night – 21 hours of Big Brother 8 footage per week!
The live as it happens footage is broadcast unedited. The only thing close to editing is that they will jump through different cameras positioned in various parts of the house, so you do not see all the action – just what they choose to show live. What I have seen is very good and revealing. The quality is also unexpectedly high since their is no editing or sweetening of footage.
Since I have Tivo I have loaded up and have all the previous nights recorded and waiting for me. So far I have watched 4 nights of footage (12 hours) and still have 9 episodes taped (27 hours).
Tivo can only hold so much! Seven 3 hour episodes per week takes up a lot of hard disk space!
Now that may seem like a lot of LIVE Big Brother to watch, but in actuality you can fast forward through a huge amount of the stuff. In fact, if you have favorite houseguests you may only want to search for footage that includes them. Or if you really hate someone you may want to skip footage they’re in.
Me, personally I have found that I can watch a 3 hour episode in around 1 hour if I fast forward liberally. Last night for example I watched over 6 hours of Live Big Brother After Dark footage in less than 2 hours.
Now there is a downside to having all this raw unedited footage… the activities you see “off the main show” can impact the experience you have watching the real Big Brother 8 as broadcast on CBS.

Hey! It must be Summer again! Big Brother 8 is here and it rocks!
So far – so good! I was abit worried at the new twists and turns but it seems to be working!
One noticeable change this year is Big Brother After Dark, on Showtime 2.
It airs from 9 to 12 PM PST and shows the housegouests in raw unedited (supposedly live) footage.
I turned it on after Tivo recoirded a few of those and turned it off real quick. It seemed like it was AHEAD of the episode I saw and I did not want to ruin it! I guess I can peek again after I have a few episodes under my belt!
I’m looking forward to a fun Summer with Biog Brother 8!

Dontcha just love these girls?
Pussycat Dolls Present: The Search for the Next Doll is the tv show that shows how 18 wannabe dolls do the reality show contest thing to see which 1 ends up as a pussycat doll.
So far i am really digging it! I was sleptical but not only are several of the girls great eye candy and fun to watch, but there is actually some singing talent!
Ron Fair, the record big wig lends some credible criticisms and is really a welcome addition to stars like Lil Kim telling the girls how they be.
Watch Pussycat Dolls Present: The Search for the Next Doll – you will be satisfied!

The Apprentice 6 Los Angeles M J + January 10th, 2007 + 4 replies
So, the Trumpster is in Los Angeles… or rather he WAS in L.A. taping the latest installment of the Apprentice. Season number 6.
At first glance it seems different and very West Coastish, but after it gets past the Southern California mansions it all gets back to the competition. Apprentice is back with a vengeance!
In the first episode of The Appentice 6 Los Angeles we saw the contestants build a tent in the backyard. Haves versus have-nots… wait, that sounds familiar…
In the end we saw a boardroom scene that truly delivered a great Trump firing! It seemed longer than usual and that is what works best on Apprentice. Sure, the challenges force them to be themselves, but it is the boardroom that seprates the men from the boys.
The twist this season is the winning leader sits in and is a part of the action along with Donald and Ivanka Trump. Very cool! New spin works! Martin got fired! Great board room!

Survivor Cook Islands M J + December 21st, 2006 + no replies
I must say this season of Survivor Cook Islands was among the best in recent memory.
Like it or not, Yul, the Godfather, who had the hidden immunity idol won despite Ozzie’s dominance in the immunity cmpetitions.
In a twist this season they ended up allowing 3 instead of the final 2. Becky joined in and did not even get 1 vote. It was close as Yul only had 1 more vote than Ozz and that’s enough to give him the millions and Ozz a measley 100,000 in cash (not bad for a loser!)
I’m sure Becky must have been compensated in some way… also as they always say “it was a great experience” no doubt!
So best wishes Yul! Hope you make some good with your big prize!

Survivor Cook Islands M J + November 18th, 2006 + one reply
This season of survivor has turned out to be a good one! Perhaps not as entertaining as Thailand or All Stars, but it is fun to watch.
Last episode they threw us a curve and dropped a bottle on the losing Raro tribe. Turns out they had to evict a second member of their tribe at the tribal council.
Somehow Jonathan did not get the axe. Even though he had followed Candace and did a mutiny number on the old Aitu tribe. Poor Jenny got the axe instaed. She felt shafted for sure!
As for the Aitu tribe – they have some posive energy and monentum guiding them to victories! They are on the right track! Tragedy however will strike in the event they must face tribal council. The tight knot group will shatter by losing just 1 member.
Well, good season Survivor! Can’t wait for the next one!

Check out this press release for a new reality tv show called “The Ultimate, Ultimate Challenge”
New reality tv show completes its pilot episode.
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) September 26, 2005 — Producers for the super-tough reality tv show “The Ultimate, Ultimate Challenge” today celebrated the successful conclusion of their pilot episode. Filmed on a Caribbean island over two weeks, the show will soon be sent through post-production and shopped to cable networks in hopes of a full-season order.
The difficult final challenge on the show left one contestant bruised enough to forfeit the game, ending the production ahead of schedule. Though press reports greatly exaggerated the event, the injury was minor. The contestant was given immediate medical attention at a local hospital, and was released soon after.

What happened to Janelle the Cocktail Waitress???
Has her mind been brainwashed by the clever Will???
Didn’t she have some kind of a pact with the BB6′ers in her alliance???
Hmmmm… then she sure went against it. Even Howie must be doubting her… Janelle manipulated him into helping her with the last veto competition…
Her shifty behavior has turned me against her.
I didn’t care whether Diane came or went but it’s getting ridiculous that the all stars haven’t gotten rid of Will and Boogie.
what exactly is a “floater” anyways and when did that become a strategy… oh – that must be an “all-star strategy”???
I agree with Marcellas who has dumped that bitch Janelle! Or at least he is conspiring to behind the scenes.
Now, without getting into what has happened I’ll just say that last week we were left with the all stars fighting for the Head of Household position.
They were tangled in a hokey web and just had some gunk spewed over them.
I have changed who I am rooting for and actually hope that James wins HOH.
He’ll be brave and will put up Dr. will and Janelle.
That would be some great TV!
Sorry Janelle. You lost my confidence in you.

Big Brother 7 All Stars: Jase gets evicted – but still may return as America’s Choice!

Maybe it’s me, but it sure seems like the Big Brother 7 All Stars contestants are playing this game like pansies!
I don’t get it… Part of the reason is that the BB6 alliance has been winning head of household and have been nominating “floaters” for some reason…
I don’t get the logic and can’t for the life of me figure out why “floaters” would have a higher priority for getting evicted than say a strong player.
In particlular I have been waiting weeek after week for them to put up both Boogie and Will..
