How to Write a Compare and Contrast Essay

How to Write a Compare and Contrast Essay

According to write my perfect essay site, a compare and contrast essay is based on a structure that contains an introduction, body, and conclusion. In the introduction, the writer has to show which elements are going to be compared and contrasted to each other. Yet, in the thesis statement, it should be made clear on which bases the two elements are going to be compared and contrasted. For instance, if we are to compare and contrast cyber communication and real face-to-face interaction, one has to announce in the thesis statement that the comparison and contrast are going to be based on the three aspects, for example, understanding, cooperativeness, and usefulness.

Be mindful that this type of essay is not argumentative by nature; thus, your aim is not to defend one party and adhere to it while you criticize the other one. Comparing and contrasting entails a fair look at the aspects making up two objects in question. Nonetheless, it is not a random operation; one should look at the similarities and differences between the two elements. Unless you know the extent to which the compared elements are similar and different, and how much in common they do have, you will not be able to accomplish an excellent compare and contrast essay.

While you are still examining the attributes of the elements in comparison, you may want to consider deciphering the grounds of comparison. If you succeed to find the corresponding ground, it would become easier for you to establish your points of connection and opposition between them. Rarely could items and concepts be identical, which means that there are always some different and similar aspects to be detected on the part of writer. A rule of thumb is not to ignore those little details that might turn out to be great ideas that draw a clear line of demarcation between the observed elements. Once you find out which features you are going to focus on in your essay, try not to write them all in one block; explaining each aspect in one paragraph would make your essay look unique, organized, and well-crafted.

Big Brother 17 is back!

M J + June 26th, 2015 + no replies

It must be summer because CBS is dropping a brand new season of Big Brother on us!

Big Brother 17 started Wednesday and so far has had 2 episodes.

The new cast seems to be pretty good. Diverse as expected and interesting because in addition to the token gay guy there is a lesbian and also “the first transgender contestant on Big Brother”.

Curious to see how to he cast will work out but on first glance it seems fine.

Have fun this summer watching Big Brother on CBS!

Big Brother 16 HD

It’s nice that Big Brother on CBS is finally broadcast in HD High Definition.

It seems like I have been nagging about it publicly for many years. It was the last holdout for HD on Prime time tv.

Now that we have HD we don’t have much to complain about!

Big Brother is as fun as ever!

Here is looking forward to a lot of fun on BB16 this summer!

I’m pissed! I can’t seem to find any info on the missing seasons of Survivor on DVD. From what I can tell two of theones I have NOT SEEN – #3 and #4 are not on DVD yet. Africa (2001) · Marquesas (2002)

ThaT SUCKS! I am not sure why they di dnot releas ethem yet – it’s 2010 and surely people would buy them. I did not start watching Survivor on CBS until the season of Survivor Thailand. So I would love to catch up a and see the ones I have missed!

The same thing is happening with CBS Big Brother. They too do not have all the shows on DVD yet.

All the RECENT ones go to dvd almost instantly – so why not cash in on the back catalog too???

AmI the only sourpuss out there???

Big Brother 9 in the Springtime!

M J + January 4th, 2008 + one reply

It’s a little bit disappointing but this season of soulmates in Big Brother 9 is better than no Big Brother at all!

Funny how those you hated are quite welcome – as in Evel Dick visiting for a POV. I thought he was exactly what the show needed and he did a terrif ic job as emcee!

Missing Big Brother

It’s Fall and just a few months since Big Brother 8 wrapped up and dropped the big prize on Evil Dick and the runner up Danielle, and it still feels like something is missing.

We really need a winter version of Big Brother. One run per year simply is not enough.

Since the producers and CBS are not willing to satisfy that need, much less even give us past seasons on DVD’s (what’s up with that by the way???) we need to take matters into our own hands.

Big Brother After Dark is fun

Showtime’s Showtoo Channel is Watching Big Brother 8 After Dark

If you’re a CBS TV’s Big Brother 8 fan and already get Showtime and it’s sister premium channels such as Showtime Too (two?) you can be enjoying a behind the scenes look at the BB8 house guests and their scheming.

UNCENSORED and un-edited Big Brother Footage!

As I reported in TV Robot’s CBS TV Big Brother 8 section, the all new Big Brother After Dark runs three hours per night LIVE on Showtime Two. You’ll see the Big Brother 8 house as you’ve never seen it before as Showtime gives us 3 hours live per night 7 days a week to spy on what is really happening in the Big Brother 8 house.

3 hours per night – 21 hours of Big Brother 8 footage per week!

The live as it happens footage is broadcast unedited. The only thing close to editing is that they will jump through different cameras positioned in various parts of the house, so you do not see all the action – just what they choose to show live. What I have seen is very good and revealing. The quality is also unexpectedly high since their is no editing or sweetening of footage.

Since I have Tivo I have loaded up and have all the previous nights recorded and waiting for me. So far I have watched 4 nights of footage (12 hours) and still have 9 episodes taped (27 hours).

Tivo can only hold so much! Seven 3 hour episodes per week takes up a lot of hard disk space!

Now that may seem like a lot of LIVE Big Brother to watch, but in actuality you can fast forward through a huge amount of the stuff. In fact, if you have favorite houseguests you may only want to search for footage that includes them. Or if you really hate someone you may want to skip footage they’re in.

Me, personally I have found that I can watch a 3 hour episode in around 1 hour if I fast forward liberally. Last night for example I watched over 6 hours of Live Big Brother After Dark footage in less than 2 hours.

Now there is a downside to having all this raw unedited footage… the activities you see “off the main show” can impact the experience you have watching the real Big Brother 8 as broadcast on CBS.

Big Brother 8 is here!

Hey! It must be Summer again! Big Brother 8 is here and it rocks!

So far – so good! I was abit worried at the new twists and turns but it seems to be working!

One noticeable change this year is Big Brother After Dark, on Showtime 2.

It airs from 9 to 12 PM PST and shows the housegouests in raw unedited (supposedly live) footage.

I turned it on after Tivo recoirded a few of those and turned it off real quick. It seemed like it was AHEAD of the episode I saw and I did not want to ruin it! I guess I can peek again after I have a few episodes under my belt!

I’m looking forward to a fun Summer with Biog Brother 8!

Pussycat Dolls Present: The Search for the Next Doll

Dontcha just love these girls?

Pussycat Dolls Present: The Search for the Next Doll is the tv show that shows how 18 wannabe dolls do the reality show contest thing to see which 1 ends up as a pussycat doll.

So far i am really digging it! I was sleptical but not only are several of the girls great eye candy and fun to watch, but there is actually some singing talent!

Ron Fair, the record big wig lends some credible criticisms and is really a welcome addition to stars like Lil Kim telling the girls how they be.

Watch Pussycat Dolls Present: The Search for the Next Doll – you will be satisfied!

Trump in Los Angeles with Apprentice 6

So, the Trumpster is in Los Angeles… or rather he WAS in L.A. taping the latest installment of the Apprentice. Season number 6.

At first glance it seems different and very West Coastish, but after it gets past the Southern California mansions it all gets back to the competition. Apprentice is back with a vengeance!

In the first episode of The Appentice 6 Los Angeles we saw the contestants build a tent in the backyard. Haves versus have-nots… wait, that sounds familiar…

In the end we saw a boardroom scene that truly delivered a great Trump firing! It seemed longer than usual and that is what works best on Apprentice. Sure, the challenges force them to be themselves, but it is the boardroom that seprates the men from the boys.

The twist this season is the winning leader sits in and is a part of the action along with Donald and Ivanka Trump. Very cool! New spin works! Martin got fired! Great board room!

Do not Interrupt the Atomic D-O-N: The Apprentice: Grand Slam Opener: 02-27-06

This Article is written and owned by: Arne

I do not usually write about the apprentice, but after viewing the season opener were “The Donald” comes out fighting and gets tough, I just could not resist!

Last night’s apprentice was an indication that the show was going to have more down and dirty competition then we ever saw on the Apprentice. Already we see the different candidates grouping off and pledging allegiance to each other! However, in the boardroom those allegiances turn into dust, it is more likened to survival of the fittest!

Not only do we see these allegiances we see “The Donald”, getting rough and tough in the boardroom.

The show opens and the Donald makes his grand entrance showing what success can buy a person. We have his usual right hand women and man in Caroline and George who lead the candidates in. The Candidates are introduced:

Allie a medical sales manager and Andrea a sticker company owner,
Brent, an attorney and Bryce a homebuilder,
Charmaine, a real estate consultant, and Dan a clothing company owner,
Lee, a business analyst and Lenny, a trading company owner,
Leslie, a realtor and Michael, a management consultant,
Pepi, an attorney and Roxanne, an appellate attorney,
Sean, a recruitment consultant and Stacy, a criminal defence attorney
Summer a restaurant owner and Tammy, a wealth manager,
Tarek, a hi-tech manager, and Theresa, a psychotherapist.

I don’t know about anybody else, but who believes this Paullus guy? I know I don’t believe Paullus when he says that Clay Aiken picked him up and had a one night tryst with him! I don’t believe it for one second! Me thinks the ex green beret soldier wants to make some green money. I think that Clay Aiken is part of the new Victimization going on in America! It’s called, go to the tabloids, lie about your relationship with a star and then sift through all the book deals, movie deals, talk shows that you can! Enjoy your fifteen minutes of fame. Get a lawyer! Then name your price!
